Das VAR-SOM-MX8M-MINI ist ein hochskalierbares System on Module (SoM) / Computer on Module (CoM) mit geringem Stromverbrauch und ist die Lösung für unterschiedlichste Anwendungen.

Basierend auf den i.MX 8M Mini von NXP mit bis zu 1,8 GHz Quad-Core-ARM Cortex-A53 ™ plus einem 400 MHz Cortex-M4 ™ Echtzeitprozessor, der bis zu 4 GB DDR4 unterstützt. Das VAR-SOM-MX8M-MINI bietet erweiterte Funktionen, einschließlich integrierter HW-1080p-Videoencoding und -decoding, 2D- und 3D-Grafik, HQ-Audio und verschiedenste Schnittstellen wie zertifiziertes Singleband 802.11 b/g/n oder Dualband 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, CAN-Bus, LVDS und viele mehr.

Das VAR-SOM-MX8M-MINI ist eine pin2pin-Plattform, die mit der Produktfamilie „VAR-SOM Pin2Pin“ kompatibel ist.
